Union Savings South Newtown Branch Celebrates Grand Opening

Union Savings Bank celebrated the grand opening of its 19th branch office at 274 South Main Street during a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on April 28 that was attended by the branch’s managers, Newtown officials, the bank’s executive management team, and members of its board of directors.

The bank officially opened its doors to customers on March 8. The branch now provides residents of the southern Newtown, Botsford, Monroe, and Stepney areas with another convenient location from which to conduct their banking and investment business.

Vincent DiGilio, assistant vice president, branch manager, and Dave Zavarelli, assistant branch manager, retail banking officer and financial advisor, have been named as branch’s management team.

Mr DiGilio will work with Newtown community members and businesses, providing them with the bank’s complete spectrum of deposit, loan, and investment services. Mr Zavarelli will assist in managing the overall operations of the branch while continuing as a financial advisor helping customers to select alternative investment products.

“We’re excited to be opening Union Saving’s 19th banking office in western Connecticut and I know that Vinny and Dave will do an excellent job serving banking and investment customers in South Newtown and adjacent communities,” said Union Savings Bank President and CEO John C. Kline.
