Putting Our Community First
Putting Our Community First
To the Editor:
I am urging all registered Republicans in Newtown to come to the Republican Caucus on Tuesday May 18, at 7 pm, at the Senior Center in Sandy Hook to vote for Chris LaRocque to be the endorsed candidate for state representative. I sincerely believe that Chris will make good on his promise to bring wise spending back to Hartford while putting our community interests at the forefront of his efforts.
I have great respect for Chris Lyddy and value his efforts thus far while representing our district. However, Chris Lyddyâs voting record demonstrates that all but a handful of times he has chosen to vote within party lines when he stated that he would go to Hartford and think independently. At this juncture, Newtown must be represented by someone who will address the statewide economic issues that will have drastic impacts on our community.
During his time on the town council, Chris LaRocque has been an advocate for fiscal responsibility while ensuring that our community is provided with the necessary services needed during this tough economic time. It is imperative that we have someone with a business background in Hartford to battle the current and future economic challenges. Chris LaRocque has demonstrated his ability to do this with his experience at Deloitte Consulting and his work with the federal government. Further, with nearly a masterâs degree in public policy Chris possesses the tools and the willpower to do whatâs best for Newtownâs residents.
Please come to the Senior Center in Sandy Hook on Tuesday, May 18, and show your support for Chris LaRocque.
