Junior Division

Gremlins 32, Ramblers 14: Three interceptions for touchdowns was the difference for the Gremlins. The Ramblers were able to hold the winners to only two TDs from the line of scrimmage. Despite great play from the scrappy Ramblers team, the Gremlins once again pulled off a victory. Gavin Conners, Asani Vessup, and Nickolai LaPierre all had interceptions for scores. The Gremlins went into cruise control for most of the game. Ramblers, however, never gave up as they put long drives together to score some points of their own. Juan Robago notched another TD and Jake Dandrea also put one in for the Ramblers. Great defensive plays this week from Kyle Good, Tess Davenport, Lexy Leidlein, and Mike Brown. The D-line continues to be strong for both teams.

Rebels 26, Avengers 19: Another nail-biter for these two teams as they went all out for the win. Turnovers by the Avengers ultimately led to the Rebels win. The Rebels once again scored early, but soon found themselves in a battle when the Avengers finally settled in. Matt Rice took control of his team and managed a few long drives against the explosive Rebels. Shane Kelly had a great catch and run for a TD and RJ Oliveira ran it in for the Avengers. The crowd roared when Eric Long made an amazing catch over the middle to keep a last-effort drive alive for the Avengers. The Rebels used their speed to put points up on the board. Darren Warren showed some moves as he cut his way through traffic to score two TDs, and Steve Moccio tore up the field and snagged two of his own. Donaven Bianchi stepped in at QB this week and did a great job leading his team to another victory.

Predators 47, Crushers 44: The Predators found a way to make good on their promise to win this week with a barn burner of a game. This contest was decided with less than 30 seconds left in regulation. The game was firmly in the hands of the Predators for most of the day until the Crushers made their move and opened up the offense. Quarterback Nick Landau would not be denied after losing one of his key players for almost a half. Landau ran for 2 TDs, passed, and fought to keep the Crushers in the game. The Crushers finally led the Predators when, with just seconds left, the Predators had enough time for one final play. That’s all they needed to pull off the win. Jacob Moore had an outstanding game this week with 4 TDs and Zach Provanzano also contributed with 2 TDs. KJ Willis was a strong presence, anchoring the line for the victorious Predators.
