Jamie Cavanaugh and Barry Schroeder

Paulette and Bill Cavanaugh of Newtown announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Ryan Cavanaugh, of Newton, Mass., to Barry Richard Schroeder, also of Newton, Mass. Barry is the son of Craig and the late Lisa Schroeder.

Jamie is a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School, and a 2004 graduate of Keene State College. She is employed in the event sale department of Questex Media Group.

Barry, a 1997 graduate of The Gilbert School and a 2001 graduate of Trinity College, expects to complete additional studies at Suffolk Law School in May 2011. He is also a paralegal for The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Jamie and Barry began dating in June 2005. They became engaged on St Patrick’s Day while vacationing in San Francisco. An August 2011 wedding in being planned, to take place in Connecticut.
