Youth Lead Mother’s Day Service

Youth members of the Newtown Congregational Church conducted the Mothers’ Day service on May 9.

Morgan Eve Swain, violinist, played the prelude and an anthem, Robin Collins sang “Amazing Grace,” and Steve Truitt gave the sermon, “You Can Listen as Well As You Hear.”

Julia Lysaght gave the Call to Worship and led the invocation and transition prayers. Courtney Bruton led the children’s message. Elisa Van Buskirk gave the pastoral prayer and Matthew Cole gave the offering prayer and prayer of dedication. Scripture readers were Tanya Whippie, Kevin Donahue, and Carol Ann Smith. Amy Robinson gave the benediction, “Old Irish Blessing.”

Greeters were Sarah Truitt and Samantha Pearce. Dan Palermo, Jaime Marcucilli, Alex Dahlmeyer, and Ryan Morrissey were the ushers.
