Update On The ABCs Of Skin Cancer
DANBURY â A comprehensive program addressing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer will be discussed at the Danbury Hospital Medical Town Meeting âUpdate on the ABCs of Skin Cancerâ on Tuesday, May 25, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The free community health and wellness program sponsored by Danbury Hospital takes place in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium, located at 24 Hospital Avenue.
The featured speaker on May 25 is dermatologist Beth Buscher, MD, from the Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, Section of Dermatology, and a practicing physician with Dermatology Associates of Western Connecticut. Registered nurse Patrice Hough, manager of the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital, will facilitate the evening program that will be followed by a question and answer session.
Danbury Hospitalâs board-certified dermatologists, oncology nurses, and other health care professionals are holding free skin cancer risk assessments and screenings for men and women on Wednesday and Thursday, May 26 and May 27, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital located on the first floor, Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance. The screening is encouraged especially for people who have no dermatologist or have no health insurance.
