Sinusitis Program At

New Milford Hospital

NEW MILFORD — Sneezing and tearing? Coughing and blowing? Wondering if your “allergies” and your “cold,” have become “rhinitis” and “sinusitis”? These common illnesses, with their overlapping symptoms — nasal congestion, postnasal drip, cough, facial pain — are often confused, which can delay evaluation and involve multidrug treatments.

Sinusitis — chronic inflammation, infection, and obstruction of the sinuses — is a common disease that is quite prevalent in Connecticut due to climate and environmental factors.

In an information question-and-answer/discussion format, Dr Philip Ho, ear, nose and throat specialist, will outline the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sinusitis on Tuesday, May 25, at 6:45 pm, in the New Milford Hospital Robison Conference Room.

Topics to be covered include classic history and symptoms of sinusitis, CAT scan analyses, medical therapies, and surgical options.

Other related topics will include allergic fungal sinusitis, sinus polyps, sinus tumors, and sinus trauma. Possible links between sinusitis and other medical conditions such as sleep apnea and migraine headaches will also be introduced. Bring your tissue boxes and your questions for a timely informative forum on everything nose and sinus!

This program is free and open to the public. Preregistration is requested by calling 860-350-7215.
