Main Street DUI
Police said they saw motorist Inna Baransky, 34, of New Canaan driving a vehicle erratically on Main Street about 12:16 am May 12, so they stopped it to investigate. Police said they charged Baransky with driving under the influence.
Following arrest processing, police released Baransky on $50 bail for a May 27 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Warrant
Police report that on the night of May 11, they arrested Samantha Bellinsky, 26, of Waterbury on a warrant listing charges of second degree failure to appear in court, failure to drive to the right, evading responsibility, and driving under suspension. The motor vehicle charges stem from a 2003 incident.
Police said they held Bellinsky on $1,000 bail for a May 12 court appearance.
Underage Alcohol
While on a special patrol intended to apprehend underage drinkers, police charged two youths with offenses on Bancroft Road on the night of May 7.
Police charged one 15-year-old boy from out of town with illegal possession of alcohol and with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police charged another 15-year-old boy from Newtown with possession of marijuana. Because the youths are under age 16, police did not disclose their identities.
Both youths were released into the custody of their parents and are slated for June 14 appearances in Danbury Juvenile Court.
Plymouth Hits Pole
Motorist Stephanie Davies, 18, of 39 Pine Tree Hill Road, was driving southward near 15 Pine Tree Hill Road about 9:40 pm May 11, when the auto crossed the road and struck a utility pole along the northbound road shoulder, police said.
The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported Davies to Danbury Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries, police said. Botsford firefighters went to the accident. The crash is under investigation.
Two Charges
Police said they arrested Andrew Lambo, 18, of 8 Country Squire Road on two charges on May 11 in connection with a March incident. Police charged Lambo with larceny by possession and with hindering prosecution. Police released Lambo on $1,000 bail for a May 19 court appearance.
