Exploring Open Space In Woodbury
WOODBURY â The Flanders Nature Center Open Space Hike & Exploration Series will resume on Saturday, May 22. Anyone interested in joining the group should meet at Manville Kettle, behind the Woodbury Post Office, at 10 am.
Naturalist Ronnie Kamphausen will be leading the program.
Discover the value of open space through a series of guided hikes and explorations of its sanctuaries and preserves. The series highlights the historic, natural and aesthetic importance of these permanently protected areas of Woodbury and surrounding communities.
Hikes are about 60 to 90 minutes. Hikers are advised to wear comfortable, seasonal clothing (tick-proof) and appropriate hiking boots. Bring rain gear and insect repellent as needed. Explorations will proceed rain or shine.
Cost is $5 per person while children ages 12 and under are free.
