Newtown High School Marching Band & Color Guard will host its annual 100 Family Tag Sale Saturday, May 14, at the NHS “Old Café,” 12 Berkshire Road.

The 14th annual sale runs from 9 am to 2 pm, rain or shine. For the first time ever, Early Bird admission is available between 8 and 9 am for a $20 donation to the band and guard.

The tag sale is a fundraiser for the NHS Marching Band & Color Guard. Every year, thousands of items are donated at the group’s Junk in the Trunk night, held the evening before, in order to help support the band and guard program.

Residents are invited to this year’s Junk in the Trunk night to donate items on Friday, May 13, from 6 to 8:45 pm at the NHS main cafeteria patio. There will be drop-off signs, and band and guard members will unload the donations. Mattresses, pillows, and stained items will not be accepted.

The tag sale will fill the entire NHS cafeteria and will be organized by category.

Categories will include housewares, holiday items, sporting goods, electronics, clothes, toys, baby items, books and media, office supplies, furniture, bikes, and more. Items will be priced to sell.
