NMS Staging ‘Alice In The City’ This Weekend
Newtown Middle School’s original musical production of Alice in the City is set to take the stage this Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 14.
The musical was written by director Twyla Hafermann and the music is by Francine Wheeler. Andrew Tammero is the musical’s producer.
The production will be held on the stage in the school’s auditorium, 11 Queen Street. Performances are set for Friday, May 13, at 7 pm, and Saturday, May 14, at noon, 3 pm, and 7 pm. Tickets are $10 or $5 for possible obstructed view seats.

Hafermann shared, “The musical Alice in the City is about a young girl who seeks adventure by choosing to go down the rabbit hole of the New York City subway where she learns about bravery, hope, kindness, and forgiveness, while discovering the strength inside of her to make choices that will enable her to grow into a confident young woman.”
