Pomperaug 5, Newtown 3: Newtown lost a tough battle against Pomperaug despite honey badger efforts by middies Kenny Barbarian Barber, Oliver Wild Wood, Evan Eggleston, and Matt Booch Bucci. Shockinâ Shawn McCarthy was a force, winning his faceoffs and controlling the turf with David Anderson, Elliot Gregory, and Matt Bucci each grabbing a goal. Defense had their work cut out for them, with Slamminâ Sam Cox, AâO Cayden Dunn, Sean Wallopinâ Wallace and the mighty Noah LaFear LaFerriere protecting goalie Jack Wellman the best they could.
Newtown 10 Cheshire 2: Newtown attacked a big, bad, broad Cheshire with a defense that ruled supreme, with Slamminâ Sam Cox, Sean Wallopinâ Wallace, Noah LaFear LaFerriere, AâO Cayden Dunn and Bad, Bad Cyril Brown keeping goalie Jack Wellman bored in the net. Kenny Barbarian Barber, Ethan Hulk Hoffman, Mad Max Weber, Nate the Great Sanchez, Austin LeBeast LeBlanc, mastered the midfield, opening the net to David Anvil Anderson (2), Ollie Wild Wood (2), Elliot Gregory (2), and Colin McCruisin McCafferty, Shockinâ Shawn McCarthy, Adam Weber and Matt Booch Bucci all grabbing one. Not unnoticed was Nick Lancelot Lansing, pacing the sidelines, ready, willing, and waiting to be unleashed.
Newtown 4, Madison 3: Newtown laxmen stunned powerhouse Madison with a calculated win against the shoreline stronghold. David Anvil Anderson netted 2, Electric Elliot Gregory and Austin LeBlanc each grabbed one, and Madisonâs goal was attacked with power shots by Kenny Barbarian Barber, Evan Eggleston, Shockinâ Shawn McCarthy and Twin Towers Adam and Mad Max Weber. Rockinâ Riley Rising returned from an injury with a vengeance with Matt Booch Bucci, Colin McCruisinâ McCafferty, Ethan Hulk Hoffman, Nate Sanchez and Ollie Wild Wood keeping the pressure steady. Goalie Jack The Wall Wellman had great saves, protected by the defensive of Slamminâ Sam Cox, Sean Wallopinâ Wallace, Bad, Bad Cyril Brown, Noah LaFerriere, and AâO Cayden Dunn.

Newtown 10, Weston 0: Before Weston had a chance to get some air, Newtown had three goals in the back of the net in the first quarter. Stellar ground ball play by Meyers and Savoca kept the ball in Newtownâs sticks. Midfielder Jared Pearson was a force to be reckon with for Weston. Pearson took control of the offense and everyone was on board. Newtownâs close defense of Haskins, Fletcher, Headen, and Mason were too hard to break. Salaris in the goal backed up the defense and together the aided in the shutout. Fantastic riding of the ball by the attack of Marusi, Bauer, Manning, Morlock, Whelan and Whaley turned the ball over several times. Weston rarely was able to clear the ball up field. Goals were scored by Pearson, Savoca, Meyers, Genovese, Morlock, Haskins, Fletcher and Marusi.
Bantams
Newtown 5, Brookfield 0: Jeffrey Garrity started the scoring by weaving his way through the defense and beating the Brookfield goalie with a rocket. Garrity was a key contributor throughout the day, causing multiple turnovers and preventing Brookfield from getting the ball out of their defensive zone. J.P Iarpoli tacked on to the lead with two more goals to lead all scorers. Tristan Andrew was relentless on the ground balls and helped Newtown maintain possession throughout the game. William Wallace continued his dominance on faceoffs by winning both attempts. Brett Pierce continues to be a fast break machine. Kyle Shelton extended the lead to 4-0 late in the third quarter on a great feed from Mathew Fernand. Luke Wellman capped off the scoring in the fourth quarter coming off a double screen to beat the goalie. Great goaltending by Thomas Daigle and strong plays on defense by twin brothers Mathew and Andrew Jacobs preserved the shutout for Newtown. Newtown has now outscored their opponents 11-0 for the season.
