Mr Rotella was self-employed, co-owning several car washes, including Classic Car Wash of Danbury, Monroe Car Wash of Monroe, and 3D Tire Mart on White Street in Danbury. Most recently, he was a school bus driver for Ridgefield School Bus Company, for 15 years, and loved his job there.

He was an avid news watcher and loved CNN.

In addition this beloved wife of 43 years, he will be sadly missed by two sons, Robert Rotella, Jr, of New Milford and Nick Rotella, and his wife Marcia, of Danbury; his daughter, Jennifer Motloch, and her husband Michael, of Austin, Texas; and his six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Angelo, and his wife MaryLee, of Westport; three sisters and spouses, Carmella and Anthony Falbo, Josephine Mercurio, and Angie and Benito Sapienza; two brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Joseph’s Church, 8 Robinson Avenue in Danbury, Saturday, May 14, at 9:30 am. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, from 4 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made in his name to the American Cancer Society , 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill CT 06067-3045, or to the charity of one’s choice.
