Skin Cancer Lecture, Free Screenings At Praxair Center
DANBURY â Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States with about one million new cases diagnosed each year. The most serious type of skin cancer, melanoma, will kill nearly 8,000 people this year, according to the American Academy of Dermatology.
Find out what to do to protect yourself and your family while having fun in the summer sun at the Danbury Hospital Medical Town Meeting âSun Sense: Take The Burn Out Of Your Summer Funâ on Tuesday, May 24, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The free community health and wellness program sponsored by Danbury Hospital takes place in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium, 24 Hospital Avenue.
Skin cancer screening is encouraged especially for people who have no dermatologist, or have no health insurance. No appointment is necessary. Screening registration closes at 7:30 each evening.
