George        Super
George Super, 85, of Trumbull, died May 8 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center, Stratford. Mr Super, a World War II veteran of the US Army, was born in Trumbull to the late Michael and Anna Super and was a lifelong area resident.
Survivors include his devoted stepchildren Patricia Wittmer and her husband, Kenneth, of Newtown and Robert Oâ Donnell and his wife, Alicia, of Stratford; six grandchildren, Robert S. OâDonnell USAF stationed in California, Marcia OâNeill and her husband, John, of North Haven, Timothy OâDonnell and his wife, Rebecca, of Monroe, Kevin Wittmer and his wife, Heidi, of Paxton, Mass., Brian Wittmer and his wife, Karen, of Colden, N.Y., and Kenneth Wittmer and his wife, Laura, of Naugatuck; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the widower of Helen (Mae) Bowers Super and Helen Oleshkevich Super.
He retired as vice president of Abercrombie Awning Company and was an active member of Nichols United Methodist Church. Funeral services took place on May 12 in the Adzima Funeral Home, Stratford, and in Nicholas United Methodist Church. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport.
