Another Epic Tercentennial Event

This weekend, the Tercentennial Commission is, indeed, proud of another event celebrating our 300th birthday. The Newtown Historical Society’s presentation of a guided walk through our Village Cemetery resurrecting “Newtown Notables, Gone But Not Forgotten” promises to be a truly breathtaking event with enough history to last a lifetime.

You won’t want to miss some of our famous early Newtowners’ complaints about local government and find out where an ancient town clerk stored precious land records waiting for 250 years for the town to get a vault.

Another epic Tercentennial Event — Saturday, May 14, at 2, 4, and 6 pm at the Village Cemetery on Elm Drive.
