GARRISON, N.Y. — An exhibition of paintings and pencil drawings by Olga Skibinski, titled “A Celebration of Light and Color,” will be on display at the Desmond-Fish Library May 17–31. Landscapes, a portrait and nine icons will be included. The icons are in the style of traditional Romanian and Russian icons on wood panels and reverse glass. Many of the landscapes are of local Hudson Valley locations such as Boscobel.

There will be an opening reception Saturday, May 17, from 5 to 8 pm. Then, on Sunday, May 18, at 2 pm, Skibinski will give a demonstration of art conservation techniques. She will talk about ways to clean and repair works of art.
