Jean I. Koup
Jean I. Koup, 94, passed away peacefully on May 1, at the Royal Westerly Nursing Home in Westerly, Rhode Island. She was born Jean Adrienne Iverson on June 10, 1926, to George and Mae Iverson in Stratford, Connecticut. She married Alfred L. Koup on May 8, 1948.
A longtime resident of Newtown, she was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a loving mother who was devoted to her family and enjoyed reading, knitting, and traveling. She also loved to bake for her family and friends which they in turn, loved to eat.
Jean was predeceased by her husband and their daughter, Nancy.
She is survived by her three remaining children, Dr Thomas Koup and his wife, Elizabeth, of Yorba Linda, California, Judy Monahan and her husband, Frank, of Voluntown, Connecticut, and Dr Richard Koup and his wife, Charla Andrews of Washington, DC; as well as four grandchildren, Douglas Koup and his wife, Helen, Kathryn Davidson and her husband, James, Brian Koup, and Sean Monahan.
A private family gathering has already taken place.
