Girls’ Golfers Earn Victories

Newtown High School’s girls’ golf team defeated host Bunnell of Stratford 218-323 at Oronoque Country Club, on April 27. The Nighthawks visited Weston and won 218-251 at Aspetuck Country Club on May 2. Newtown had a 197 and defeated Pomperaug (238) and fell to Immaculate of Danbury (190), at Newtown Country Club, on May 3.
In the Weston match, Kendall Reed had a 44, Aidan Herbstman carded a 53, Norah Kolb 59, and Lucia St. Lorenzo 62.
Against Pomperaug and Immaculate, Reed earned medalist honors with a 39, Herbstman had a 47, Kolb 52, and Maddy Watson a 59.
