Trinity Youth Planning Flower Sale, Car Wash
This weekend the youth of Trinity Episcopal Church will be selling flowers and washing cars to earn money to help defray expenses for their annual workcamp project which restores homes for needy families in the Eastern part of the country.
This June, 33 teenagers and nine adults will spend a week in North Kingston, R.I., working together to bring much needed help to the disadvantaged people of that community. On Saturday, May 10, from 9 am to 6 pm, a wide assortment of annual flowers will be on sale in front of the church, which is located at the corner of Main Street and Church Hill Road. The flower sale will continue on Sunday, starting at 9 am.
Also, on Saturday, the youth will be offering to wash cars for in return for donations to the workcamp. The car wash will run from 10 am to 2 pm.
The flower sale and car wash will offer residents the opportunity to beautify gardens and dirty cars while helping a very worthy cause.
This weekendâs events are the latest efforts by the workcampers to raise funds to cover the costs of their transportation, housing, and other expenses that come up prior to and during their week in Rhode Island. Workcampers have done candy and plant sales already.
