Robert Allen

Robert C. Allen, 69, of Chester, Vt., died May 1 after a long illness with cancer.

Mr Allen was born February 16, 1934, in Norwalk and grew up in Westport.

Mr Allen is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helga (Olek) Allen of Chester; his son, Scott Allen of Chester; and his daughter, Kimberly Allen of Tewksbury, Mass.; his mother, Mildred Case of Jamaica, Vt.; his sisters, Joyce Fraser of Woodbury, Bernice Camp of Florida, and Cheryl Infante of Newtown; his brothers, John Allen of Newtown and James Allen of Jamaica, Vt.; his grandchildren, Andrea Allen and Erik Allen of Tewksbury; and many nieces and nephews.

After living with his family in Newtown and Southbury, it was his dream to live in Vermont where he spent his last 16 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, snowmobiling, deer hunting, and was an avid Yankee fan.

The Funeral Service was held May 3 at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, Vt.
