Native Plant Sale May 10-11
DERBY â The Kellogg Environmental Center and Osborne Homestead Museum invite the public to open the gardening season with native additions to your backyard.
Just in time for Motherâs Day, the third annual Native Plant Sale will be held on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, from 9 am to 3 pm each day. Ferns, wildflowers and shrubs will be featured to increase the natural diversity in your backyard. Plants will be available for a wide variety of garden beds including shade and full sun.
Plants for sale include liverleaf, wild phlox, trilliums, blueberry, mayapple, coneflower, bee balm and rue anemone. Shrubs include spicebush and other backyard enhancing natives.
On Saturday, presentations by horticulture specialists will be included as well as a table with inexpensive selections and free activities to inspire the young conservationist.
Proceeds will benefit the programs at Kellogg Environmental Center.
