My House Is A Palace,My House Is A Dump
My House Is A Palace,
My House Is A Dump
To the Editor:
It is increasingly curious to me that, on one hand, homeowners believe that their homes are palaces when the realtor comes calling. On the other hand, when the assessor takes a look, the homeowner considers his home a dump and could not possibly be worth what the assessment states.
We all benefit from the reputation that our school system has earned, whether we have children in the school system or not. The increase in property values is a good thing that comes with responsibilities on our part. If we are shortsighted and continue to vote against the budget, we will definitely pay later. The tax increase we avoid now will come back to haunt us in the future.
