Mildred W. Allen

Mildred W. Allen, 87, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Newtown, died April 16 at Glen Oaks Health Care Center in Clearwater.

She was born on April 25, 1915, in Richmond, Vt., to Joseph and Mae Weston. She was the widow of John Allen who died September 17, 1990. She was a retired employee of Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown.

Survivors include four sons, Ralph Allen of Clearwater, Fla., Paul Allen of Hollister, Fla., Dayle Allen of Richmond, Vt., and Harold Allen of Bethel; four daughters, Lois Belair and Carolita Pratt, both of Clearwater, Fla., Phyllis Huff of Hampton, Va., and Cheryl Greenwood of Southbury.

Survivors also include five sisters, Patricia Cernak of Clearwater, Fla., Muralin Washburn of Ormond Beach, Fla., Leatha Brown of Starksboro, Vt., Mavis Stevens of Northampton, Mass., and Audrey Liberty of Huntington, Vt.; a brother, Stanley Weston of Fair Haven, Vt.; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services were private. Burial took place in St Rose Cemetery in Newtown.
