Hospital Plans Program On Skin Cancer
And Offers Free Screenings
DANBURY â Danbury Hospital will hold another in its series of Medical Town Meetings, âSkin Cancer: Know the Real Risks of Sun Exposure,â on Tuesday, May 23, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the hospitalâs John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
The hospitalâs board-certified dermatologists will discuss the latest information about prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer and the importance of early detection.
Ample time will be provided for audience questions. Prize drawings, giveaways, educational materials, and light refreshments also are available. Medical town meetings are co-sponsored by the hospital and the Danbury office of Physician Services, PC. No registration is required. Park free in the Blue, Orange, or Red parking lots.
In addition to the medical town meeting, the dermatologists also will perform free skin cancer risk assessments and screenings on Wednesday, May 24, and Thursday, May 25, from 6 to 8 pm. The screening will take place in the hospital, first floor Stroock Building (Locust Avenue entrance, accessible from the Orange and Red parking lots). The screening registration closes at 7:30 pm each evening. No appointments are necessary.
