Support Mothers United Against Violence
Newtown Congregational Church is collecting donations to support Mothers United Against Violence (MUAV). Leave donations in the collection bins on the patio just outside the 14 West Street church Sanctuary, no later than Friday, May 15.
Items needed include soap, toothpaste, deodorant, mouthwash, toilet paper, sanitary pads, detergent, bleach, liquid household cleaners, cloths for cleaning, Pampers baby diapers, pull ups, wipes, first aid kits, band aids, gauze, asthma tools, diabetic sticks, heart monitors, etc.
Food: canned goods, cereal items, cookies/chips — any item that can withstand a shelf life.
Also needed: resource books for parents, and the following for youth and children: resource items, science, math, reading, history, technology games (educational orientated), Chrome books, computers/lap tops, tablets , book bags, pencils, pens, crayons, etc.
Quilting material, yarn, crochet tools/knitting tools, supplies, sewing machines — if anyone wants to donate one.
To provide financial support make check payable to MUAV; send to the Newtown Congregational Church office, 14 West Street, Newtown CT 06470, with “attention Sheila Cole” on the envelope.
