NHS Celebrated Senior Prom 2009

At A New Location

Whether Newtown High School students began by gathering at The Pleasance or at a friend’s home for photographs on Saturday, May 2, they all ended up at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury to attend this year’s NHS Senior Prom. It was a new location for the prom, which for the last two years had been at The Amber Room in Danbury, and at least the five prior to that at The Inn at Villa Bianca in Seymour.

For four hours the students were treated to an evening of dancing and dining, and an opportunity to dress up and show off their formal fashions of choice. More than 400 students attended the evening, and by the end of the evening seniors Patrick Pennarola and Jordyn Good found themselves named as this year’s Prom King and Queen.
