Dr Franky Herman Carr, Jr, 54, of Sandy Hook, formerly of Stamford, died May 1, at Danbury Hospital. Dr Carr was born August 26, 1954, to Margaret Carr-Wood and Franky H. Carr, Sr.
He leaves to cherish the memory his wife, Philomena Carr; his son, Demetri N. Carr of Stamford; daughters, Nicole S. Carr and Jacqueline M. Carr of Stamford; and daughter Tina Feggans, her fiancée, Adrian Rohan, and granddaughter Kiera Rohan, all of Waynesboro, Va. His sister Angela M. Carr of Stamford; brother, Ralph L. Carr and his wife, Yvette E. Carr, of Earlysville, Va.; devoted friend, Melana Kay and her son of Danbury; as well as his father-in-law, Attana Appadu; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends also survive Dr Carr.Â
Dr Carr was an accomplished orthopedic surgeon, with a private practice in New York City and was a great advocate for the disadvantaged. Dr Carr impacted all who knew him and will be missed dearly by them.
The funeral service will be Friday, May 8, at noon, at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove Street in Stamford. There will be no calling hours.Â
