Huskies 4, Addessi Jewelers 4 (7 innings): The Huskies and Addessi Jewelers battled to an extra inning tie game. For the Huskies, Michael Liberante tripled a run home, scored twice, and started a 6-6-3 double play. Michael Capaldo was 2-for-3 and hurled 2 scoreless innings. For Addessi Jewelers, Matt Gerics was 2-for-3 at the plate and struck out 5 batters in two innings on the mound and Jake Oliger hit an RBI double and threw out a potential base stealer in the bottom of the seventh to secure the tie.
Rohrbacher Construction 9, Mobile One Lube Express 4: Rohrbacher was led by a towering 3-run home run by Brandon Hensel. Ellie Nikitchuyuk had a two-run double and Scott McLean and Bobby Haskins had key hits. Solid pitching was provided by Chad Azzarito and Ryan Shaw. Ryan Argraves made an incredible catch in left field and Parker Johnson and Carlo Fenaroli played solid defense. The game ended on a classic strike âem out, throw âem out connection between Ryan Shaw and Matt Davis. The Mobil One Lube Express Lubers struggled early. On the mound, Geoffrey Santore and Matthew Clark pitched well while Justin Dunn and Sam Duffy had two hits each. Samantha Cody played and Grant Unteidt played tough defense in the loss.
Onex 8, Red Baron Carpet 0: Mitchell Savoca, Dylan Tyrrell and Spencer Johnson combined to pitch a one-hitter, while striking 13 batters. Tucker Kistner and Luke Reppucci had clutch hits plating two RBI apiece, while Timmy LeBlanc collected two hits, including a triple, to lead the ONEX offense. For Red Baron, Kelland Chrystie and Jack Moulder pitched solidly to strike out 9 in 3 innings, and their lone hit came on a single by Chrystie.
ONEX 13, LaDestro Legal Services 2: For ONEX, Zach Laros, Luke Reppucci, Dylan Tyrrell and Timmy LeBlanc each collected two hits apiece to pace the ONEX offense. Defensively, Tucker Kistner pitched well, including catching a line drive back to the mound, while LeBlanc and Mitchell Savoca combined to strike out eight batters over three innings.
Red Baron Carpet 18, Rohrbacher Construction 7: For Red Baron, River Low pitched 2 great innings and hit a key double while Chris Blanco had 4 hits including a triple. Jake Lappâs crucial double in the 2nd drove in 2 runs. For Rohrbacher, Chad Azzaritto hit a double while Bobby Haskins and Ryan Shaw hit triples in the first inning to combine for 5 RBIs.
Mobil One Lube Express 7, Huskies 3: The Mobil One Lube Express Lubers beat the Huskies in a rain-soaked game at Sandy Hook Field. For the Lubers, Geoffrey Santore gave up only 2 hits over 3 innings with 4 strikeouts. Justin Dunn closed the game pitching two strong innings. At the plate, the Lubers were led by Mike Schlesinger with a pair of doubles. Kieran Lynch and Gavin Stubbs each added 2-RBI with doubles of their own. Sam Duffy and Santore also added two hits each. For the Huskies, Justin Oelberg was 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs and Jonathon Paes had an RBI single.
Addessi Jewelers 8, Hull Landscaping 2: For Addesssi, Matt Kretz scored 2 runs and reached on walks both times. Matt Gerics had 3 hits and scored 2 runs. Justin Gillespie, Paul Whitaker and Thomas Addessi scored 1 run each. Andrew Lee pitched 3 innings gave up only 2 runs. Whitaker played excellent defense with several putouts, had a big hit, and stole home. For Hull Landscaping, Peter Clifford pitched a strong 2 innings striking out three and holding the opponent to just two runs. Austin Kasbarian came in to pitch in relief for Clifford. Kasbarian had a strong two innings, striking out two and allowing a run. Cole Terry and Mike Meyers chipped in with a base hit each.Â
Huskies 5, LaDestro Legal Services 5 (7 innings): Patrick Conte struck out 5 in 2 innings on the mound and scored 2 runs and Colin Patrick got out of a bases-loaded no-out jam in the seventh to preserve the tie for the Huskies. Sean Ferris was 3-for-3 and scored twice and Peter Winans had 2 hits, a run and an RBI for LaDestro Legal Services.

Newtown Roche International 6, Ridgefield Team Eight 0: Pitchers Alex Saviano, Eric Sutton and Kyler Harmeling combined on a shutout Sunday at Middle School Field. Saviano was brilliant, striking out three batters and walking only one in three innings. Harmeling also cracked two hits, and teammates Dan Poeltl and Robbie Hughes ripped long shots past the left fielder. Mario Pizighelli slapped a single and scored two runs, and Alex Roche singled and scored.
Newtown Ravens 13, Ridgefield Team Ten 10: Led by Ian Kirnerâs three hits, Gary Braunâs two long doubles and three RBIs, and Cole Baldinoâs three runs scored, the Ravens won a three hour plus-long marathon in the rain Sunday at Ridgefieldâs Old High School Field. Kirner scored two runs and stole three bases. Braun launched a rocket over the left fielderâs head and drilled another double to right. Second-baseman Baldino boosted his team-leading on-base percentage to .700 and made a sensational over-the-shoulder catch in short right-center the fourth inning. Left fielder James Rebman and right fielder Ryan Truchsess made clutch catches on high fly balls down the lines. Michael Koch pitched the first two innings, yielding just one run and striking out four. With the bases loaded and the potential winning run at bat for Ridgefield in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ravens centerfielder John Hampford hauled in a hard-hit shot to left center to preserve the victory.
Ridgefield Team Eleven 13, Newtown Roche International 10: Eric Sutton, Nick Barreto and Kyler Harmeling threw four solid innings of relief pitching Saturday, keeping the game close for Newtown at Middle School Field. Sutton also scored three runs, and Harmeling, Chris Robinson and Reid Schmidt each scored twice.
Ridgefield Team Seven 12, Newtown Ravens 1: Parker Lintz knocked in the only Ravens run with an infield grounder that scored David Gerics. Leading off the game, teammate Cole Baldino crushed a long hit over the center fielderâs head.
Newtown Pirates 12, Newtown Base Technologies 7: Sean Dardine doubled and tripled to lead the Pirates in the first game under the lights at the new Fairfield Hills Field. Mike Newman also banged a long double for the Pirates and Tyler Gibney and Collin Hall rapped key RBI singles. On the mound, Pirate hurlers Ryan Daignault and Colton Sposta combined to allow only a single run over four innings. For Base, Wyatt Depuy blasted a three-run inside-the-park homer on a screaming line drive that rolled to the 400-foot centerfield fence.
Newtown Roche International 15, Newtown Base Technologies 5: Roche International was led by Reid Schmidt and Alex Roche, who each had three hits in the season-opening game at Fairfield Hills Field. Schmidt knocked in three runs and crushed a double to left field. Chris Robinson had three walks, a single and three runs scored. Robbie Hughes also scored three runs and singled. Pitchers Alex Saviano, Schmidt and Eric Sutton struck out 10 batters in five innings. For Base Technologies, Austin Bonadio crushed a triple and a single, and scored three runs. Joe Davis and Wyatt Depuy rapped singles.

Smith Miller Construction 10, Frozen Ropes 7: Smith Miller was led by the hitting of Andrew Craigin with triple and single and James Leuci who had 2 hits. Russel Jacobs had a key single to knock in 2 runs and Connor Miller and Declan Sullivan each had run scoring singles. Frozen Ropes was led by the hitting of Dillon Palumbo, Nick Samuelson and Joe Duero. Michale OâKeefe scored a key run and Alex Klang pitched a strong inning. Â
