Adopt A Dog Or Cat From Animal Control

The following dogs and cats are available for adoption from the Newtown pound, which is located at the end of Ethan Allen Road (behind the transfer station):

MEATBALL is a 2-year-old male red Pit Bull. He is very friendly, well behaved and house-broken.

LARRY is a 5-year-old male black lab mix. He is well trained and house-broken.

ARTHUR is a 1 1/2-year-old affectionate male Pit Bull mix.

PJ is a 2-year-old male Pit Bull. He loves to be around people and is very cuddly.

CHEVY is a 5-year-old male American Pit Bull Terrier and Rottweiler mix. He loves people and craves affection but is not good with dogs and cats. He knows basic commands.

FIONA is a 5-year-old female German Shepherd mix. She gets a long with other dogs, loves to play with a ball and would be great for a family with older children.

SASHA is a 2-year-old female brindle terrier mix. She does not get along with other dogs or cats, but loves people and loves to play.

CALICO is a 14-year-old female tabby cat with a gentle and sweet personality. Sadly, Calico is suffering from hyperthyroidism. She is on medication, which is very inexpensive. All she wants is a chance to prove that she will make a great companion.

COLGATE is a 13-year-old male tiger cat who has lived at the pound for almost 2 years and is ready to live in a house. He has a unique personality and is loved by all of the employees and volunteers.

Good news: Jesse was adopted.
