Is An Option For Summer

RIDGEFIELD — Is there a future Broadway star in your household yearning to perform? Ridgefield Theater Barn will be hosting a musical theater camp this summer for children and teenagers ages 8 to 18. The camp will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm, July 11 to August 17.

The six-week camp will include instruction in blocking scenes, reciting lines, theater exercises, vocal and dance training, and performing musical production numbers. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a special performance at the end of the camp.

The camp will be under the direction of noted choreographer Jacki De Roeck. Jane Ryan will serve as musical director and vocal coach.

Participants do not need any vocal or dance experience to participate. Special exceptions will be made for 6 and 7 year-olds who have had previous theater experience.

There is a $380 registration fee. Students must bring their own bag lunches.
