Music For All Ages At United Jewish Center

DANBURY — Once in a great while, a musical group comes along that appeals not just to children, not just to teens, not just to adults but to everyone, to all age groups. Just such a duo is Kol B’Seder —Cantor Jeff Klepper and Rabbi Dan Freelander — whose brand of contemporary folk/pop/rock comes with a decidedly Jewish angle. On Sunday, May 21, at 4:30 pm, Kol B’Seder will be performing at the United Jewish Center in Danbury.

Sponsored by the Robert S. Young Foundation for Jewish Culture of the United Jewish Center, Kol B’Seder means “everything’s okay,” which describes not only the duo’s music but also the special relationship they establish with every audience. Their concerts are wonderfully warm audience-interactive events.

Kol B’Seder’s style, which has been likened to Simon and Garfunkel’s, combines traditional texts with original melodies to produce a new Jewish sound. Their lyrics and melodies — made with a guitar and their two voices — celebrate the values of Jewish tradition that reflects our daily lives.

For further information about the free event, contact the United Jewish Center, which is at 141 Deer Hill Avenue, at 748-3355.
