In Memoriam

In Loving Memory of

Hilda V. Walsh

May 16, 1910 – October 3, 1997

At first I thought I would not care

To carry on alone,

I knew a smile I could not wear

When you had passed beyond.

Somehow I thought the world would end

For me, the day you died;

Life’s milestones I could never pass

Without you by my side.

But I find the world goes on the same;

Sunshine, shadows, beauty;

And all of life is not to love,

There still remains a duty.

I strive to do the things worthwhile

And looking up,

I glimpse your smile.

Our love to you, Nannie, for all eternity…
