What’s Your Talent?

The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission is planning a talent show for the public to be presented in early fall at Newtown High School. The plan is for a musical concert/variety show featuring popular music over the decades, performed by local professional and amateur artists.

Whether you are a student, an experienced senior or a parent with a hidden talent, here is your chance to participate in an intergenerational event and show your talent.

Musicians, vocalists, dancers, thespians, comedians and other artists of all ages are invited to auditions, which will run Thursday May 27, from 3 to 9 pm, in Reed School’s cafetorium, 3 Trades Lane.

Those who would like to audition to participate, either as an individual or as a group, must sign up in advance, by May 24. Walk-ins will not be allowed during the audition hours.

To sign up for the auditions, visit NewtownArtsCommision.org, and then click on the We’ve Got Talent! link. Auditions are being filled in 15-minute intervals, and many were open as of the beginning of this week.
