NHS Senior Prom 2010

Newtown High School students dressed in their best on Saturday, May 1, for the 2010 Senior Prom, conducted at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury.

Before heading to the hotel, students met at places like The Pleasance on Main Street, friend’s houses and other meeting areas to pose for photos.

The event began at 7 pm, and students started walking through the entrance of the hotel just before that time.

Greeted by more photography flashes, the students also met with familiar faces of the Newtown High School staff and faculty, such as Assistant Principal Scott Clayton and secretary Nathalie de Brontes, who called themselves the best dressed pair at the event while stopping for a photo.

The black and white of tuxes interspersed with bright taffeta and sequined dresses inside the hotel, as students gathered and found seats at tables for the Class of 2010’s Senior Prom.
