Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Helen L. Strid, 88, of Newtown, died April 30, in Hancock Hall, Danbury. She was born in New York City, February 27, 1922, a daughter of Katherine (Strehl) and Frank Leinert.

Mrs Strid was a longtime resident of New Milford and had resided in Newtown for five years. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Genua of Newtown, and Donna Wodjenski of New Milford; two sons, Tim Strid of New Milford, and Dave Strid of Kent; a brother; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Kelsey, and by a grandson, Matthew Kelsey.

Funeral services were May 4. Interment was in Newtown Village Cemetery.
