Flora âFloâ Tremblay, 74, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Newtown, died April 30 in Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs, Fla. Mrs Tremblay was the wife of the late John H. Tremblay.
She was born in Fairfield on December 20, 1929, a daughter of the late David and Euphemia (Blair) Morrison. Flo was a longtime resident of the Dodgingtown section of Newtown until moving to Florida in 2000. She was a retired salesperson for the D.M. Read and Jordan Marsh department stores.
Mrs Tremblay is survived by a son, Jack Tremblay and his wife Michele of Palm Harbor, Fla.; three daughters, Wendy Mauro and her husband Rod of Newtown, Barbara Colacurcio and her husband Frank of Sandy Hook, and Dawn Tremblay and her husband Jim Riccardi of Southbury; two brothers, Edward Morrison and William Morrison; three sisters, Margaret Sjodin, Jean Sadler, and Katherine Doyle; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held May 5 in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
