Faduses Celebrate Their
50th Wedding Anniversary
Charlie and Jean (Cahill) Fadus celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, April 24. Their children and spouses feted them with a luncheon party at the Inn of Newtown, and 60 of their friends and relatives attended the event.
Deacon Kenneth Stroud officiated at the renewal of their vows.
The couple was married in St Peters R.C. Church on Saturday, April 24, 1954, by Right Reverend Monsignor John J. Kennedy.
Jean graduated from the Danbury Hospital School of Nursing, and worked in Intense Care and the Emergency Room at Danbury Hospital.
Charlie graduated from the Cincinnati School of Embalming and served his apprenticeship in Danbury, where he met Jean. He established his own painting and paperhanging business from which he retired last year.
The coupleâs daughter Diana and her husband Steve Paproski, and their son Paul and his wife Anna Cristina Fadus, live in Newtown. They also have four grandchildren, Stephanie and Shannon Paproski, and Nicholas and Olivia Fadus.
