Boggs Hill DUI

Police said they saw motorist Sean Surat, 18, of 25 Boggs Hill Road driving a blue 1992 Subaru Royale station wagon with a flat right front tire on Boggs Hill Road early on the morning of May 6.

Police said that the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle that had been reported to be traveling erratically on Queen Street. Police said they stopped the auto to investigate, after which they charged Surat with driving under influence.

Police added that Surat became uncooperative during arrest processing and that they additionally charged him with interfering with police.

Police released Surat on $1,000 bail for a May 20 appearance in Danbury Superior Court where he will face the charges before a judge.

Queen Street Collision

At about 5:30 pm on May 4, motorist William Denc, 36, of 110 Lakeview Terrace, who was driving a 1990 Ford F-150 pickup truck southward on Queen Street, was struck from behind at Queen Street’s intersection with Mile Hill Road by motorist Geny Quroga, 31, of Naugatuck, who was driving a 1998 Toyota RAV-4, police said.

There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Quroga for following too closely.

Arrest Warrant

On May 5, police charged Matthew Eriquez, 17, of 3 Hawthorne Hill Road on an arrest warrant, lodging charges of third degree burglary, fourth degree larceny, and third degree criminal mischief.

The charges stem from a March incident at a Country Squire Road residence, police said. Police released Eriquez on $500 bail for a May 19 court appearance.
