Robert J. Dixon, 78, died May 1, at his home in Bridgeport.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Diane; his son John and his wife, Linda, of Newtown, and his daughter Cheryl and her husband, Erik Paul, of Bridgeport; three granddaughters; daughter-in-law Doreen Dixon; siblings George and his wife, Marie, Beverly and her husband, Pete Southwick, and Gary; and many nieces and nephews.

The family expresses deep gratitude to Vitas Hospice Care.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 18, at 11 am, at the Gilead Congregational Church, 672 Gilead Street, Hebron.
