What's Your Vision For Fairfield Hills?
Whatâs Your Vision
For Fairfield Hills?
To the Editor:
On Thursday, May 5, the Fairfield Hills Master Plan Review Committee launched âThe Future of Fairfield Hillsâ survey as the all-important final step in the public participation process. This survey is designed to include much of the information and public comment weâve collected since we began last year, and will help shape our final report recommendations as our committee completes its work. The survey consists of six sections:
1. An informational overview for some of the key themes weâve encountered,
2. A set of questions targeted at economic development and housing,
3. A set of questions to assess community attitudes on issues connected with the property,
4. A list of elements that could be a part of the property, gathered during our three public participation sessions,
5. Potential visions for the property emerging from the public participation sessions,
6. Demographic questions used to ensure that the survey results more fairly represent the community as a whole.
The survey is comprehensive in its coverage of the numerous issues associated with the Fairfield Hills property, and will take some time to finish. Your participation in the complete survey is critical to ensure we understand the attitudes and preferences of the community during our final deliberations leading to our recommendations to the Board of Selectmen.
The survey is available electronically at www.FairfieldHillsSurvey.com. There will also be some paper copies available at the Newtown Senior Center for those without access to the Internet. We request use of the electronic version if possible to speed the review and analysis of your input.
Please take time out to tell us your desires, needs, and dreams for the future of the Fairfield Hills campus and property. Pass the word along to a few of your friends too!
Sincerely,
Paul Lundquist
