Commission Seats

First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking interested residents who may qualify for service on several local commissions. Currently, the Economic Development Commission has an opening for an Republican or unaffiliated voter. 

Interested EDC candidates may refer to www.newtown.org for more information on the commission.

The Commission on Aging has two alternate positions open, one to any registered voter other than Republican and one to any registered voter.

The Employee Benefits Oversight Committee seeks interested parties, anyone with knowledge of the insurance or benefits industry is preferable. Candidates can send a letter of interest and resume to the Office of the First Selectman, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT 06470.

The Hattertown Historic District, Sustainable Energy Commission, and Lake Lillinonah Authority have openings as well; any interested parties for any openings may contact the first selectman’s office at 203-270-4203.
