Mr and Mrs Richard Spencer Rekos

Krista Adrienne Lehmann and Richard Spencer Rekos were joined in Holy Matrimony at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, October 2. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev Robert Weiss, pastor.

The bride is the daughter of Suzanne Lehmann of Monroe, and John Lehmann, Tierra Verde, Fla., formerly of Newtown. The groom is the son of Mary Anne Rekos of Seminole, Fla., and Richard Rekos, Danbury, formerly of Sandy Hook.

The bride, wearing a strapless Romona Keveza gown, was given in marriage by her father.

Karla Lafferty, Clermont, Fla., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Kaitlin Lehmann, Belle Mead, N.J., Martha Demand, Troy, N.H., Meghan Messenger, Hoboken, N.J., Carla D’Angelo, New York City, and Lauren Filbert, Elyse Dunbar, and Lauren Fiore, all of Boston, served as bridesmaids to Ms Lehmann.

Flower girls were Samantha and Erin Lafferty, Clermont, Fla. and Kelly Lehmann, Belle Mead, N.J.

Jason Winsett, New Milford, was Mr Rekos’s best man. Ushers were the groom’s father, Richard Rekos, Brian Rekos, Easton, Jesse Nielsen, New York City, John Memoli, San Diego, Calif., and Gabe Vizza and Rob Sautter, both of Philadelphia.

Ring bearer was Connor Lehmann of Belle Mead, N.J.

The reception was held at Water’s Edge in Darien, Conn.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Newtown High School and graduated from Fairfield University in 1999. She is presently a graduate student at Fairfield University.

The groom graduated from Newtown High School in 1995 and from LaSalle University in 2000. Mr Rekos is employed by Questionmark, Inc in Stamford as a systems support specialist.

After a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple is at home in Newtown.
