Five MV Charges

Police report they stopped motorist Stacy McCaffrey, 28, of 100 Church Hill Road, Apt 106, on May 3 on Edmond Road for driving without a front marker plate.

Police charged McCaffrey with failure to display a marker plate, misuse of a marker plate, driving while under suspension, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving without automotive insurance.

After processing, police released McCaffrey on $100 bail for a May 17 court appearance.

South Main Collision

In stop-and-go traffic on northbound South Main Street about 8:49 am April 28, motorist Hannah Cox, 37, of 136 Castle Hill Road, who was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry, struck the rear end of a 2002 Nissan Altima driven by Rosalene Dennis, 40, of Bridgeport, police said.

Local ambulance volunteers transported Dennis to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said. Police gave Cox a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

 

Route 34 Accident

In traffic on eastbound Route 34, near Pole Bridge Road, motorist Dale Ratzenberger, 51, of Seymour, who was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer, struck the rear end of a 2005 Honda Accord driven by Mary Frobey, 47, of 39 Bennetts Bridge Road at about 2:48 pm April 29. There were no injuries. Police issued Ratzenberger an infraction ticket for following too closely.
