Correction

Because of incorrect information supplied to The Bee last week at press time, a story about the Borough of Newtown election misstated voter qualification criteria. According to Borough Warden Joan Crick, registered voters who reside within the district borders of the borough are qualified to vote in a borough election. Anyone owning property in the borough, who can attend the annual budget session, is qualified to speak about and vote on the borough budget. Borough property owners residing outside the district cannot vote in the bi-annual election.
