June Miller Perley

June Miller Perley, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Huntington, Conn., the wife of Donald B. Perley, died Good Friday, April 21, in Florida. She was the beloved aunt of Shannon Hicks of Newtown.

Mrs Perley was a charter member of Brownson Country Club of Huntington, and a past president of the club’s Women’s Golf League. She was also a past president of Olde Ripton Garden Club and a member of St Lawrence’s Church. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed entertaining.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Donovan of Dunedin, Fla., Patricia Thompson of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Arlene Miller of Ocala, Fla.; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Perley, and his wife, Betty, of Sanford, Me.; a large number of nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Arrangements were made through Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road in Shelton. A Mass of remembrance was celebrated on May 10 at St Lawrence Church in Huntington, with a reception following at Brownson Country Club. A Mass of remembrance was also celebrated by family and friends of Mrs Perley in Florida. Burial will be in Lawn Cemetery, on Lane Street in Huntington.
