Anna Marie Lato, 88, of Norwalk, died April 29 at the Norwalk Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife for 69 years of the late Dominick Lato. Mrs Lato was born in Zelienople, Penn., April 19, 1919, daughter of John and Bertha Verba Sedlak.
Survivors include five sons, Joseph Lato and his wife, Patricia, of Newtown, D. Jim Lato, Michael P. Lato and his wife, Ginny, of Norwalk, Richard J. Lato of Trumbull, and Frank R. Lato of Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter, Peggy Tedesco and her husband, Michael, of Perry, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her brother Joseph Sedlak; her sister Bertha Kery; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Conley Lato, predeceased her.
She was a member of the Professional Horsemanâs Association for 35 years and the Connecticut Horse Show Association, traveling the East Coast with her husband to attend many horse shows. Mrs Lato had also worked with her husband managing Lato Brothers Landscaping and Construction. She enjoyed gardening, soft music, was a great cook, and a wonderful mother who lived for her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, May 3, at St Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial followed at St John Cemetery.

Mrs Latoâs family would like to thank the staff at Darien Health Care and the Mid-Fairfield Hospice for their loving care during her illness.
