Peace Flag Workshops: Four Opportunities To Create Banners For Boston
If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another. If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they are safe. If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand. If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another. —His Holiness The Dalai Lama
Sandy Hook Peaceful Arts, a collection of friends with a mission to change to world, has announced plans for four peace flag workshops.
The group is inviting children and adults to visit any of the workshops to be held at The Graceful Planet, 7 Berkshire Road, where attendees can create flags with messages and images of peace to be sent to Boston.
Workshops will be on Tuesdays, May 7, 18 and 21, and June 4, each from 5 to 6:30 pm.
There is no charge, but donations will be accepted.
Workshops are appropriate for children and adults. Children under age 6 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Residents are welcome to attend a full session and make a few flags, or stop in and make just one.
Space is limited so reservations are requested; send email to info@sandyhookarts.org.
