From Adaskin Trio Performance
DANBURY â The Adaskin String Trio will perform a concert this weekend for children and adults, which will benefit the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School and its new location in Newtown. The concert will be held at First Congregational Church of Danbury, 164 Deer Hill Avenue, on Friday, May 12, beginning at 6:30 pm.
The performance will feature a generous helping of music of many styles, as well as informative and scintillating commentary about instruments, chamber music, and the life of the chamber musician.
Participation of the audience will be invited to help reinforce the musical concepts introduced in the concert. Children ages six and up as well as adults and their friends should find the concert both entertaining and informative.
The Adaskin String Trio is donating the proceeds from the concert to the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School which is now located in Newtown.
The string trio â with Mark Fraser on cello, Emlyn Ngai on violin and Steve Larson on viola â has earned wide renown for its technical excellence, interpretive insight, and an innovative exploration of its repertoire.
