NYS Announces 13th Annual  Youth Talent Show

As part of Celebrate Youth Month, Newtown Youth Services is planning the 13th Annual Youth Talent Show at the Middle School Auditorium on Friday, May 12, at 7 pm. This year’s event will be sponsored by Bob Tendler Real Estate, Dr Hank Gellert, JP Maquire Assoc., and Drs Licht and Holloway, and once again we welcome back Kevin Koschel with his wonderful sound and effects equipment.

There will be performances by singers, dancers, gymnasts, musicians, and other entertainers of all ages. There will be an intermission and refreshments available.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, May 9, at Youth Services, located on Main St behind the General Store, and should also be available at the door. Adults – $3; youth – $1.

Talent Show Videos will be recorded by a Newtown High School Video student and are available for purchase at $15. Proceeds of the sale of the videos go to the Youth Advisory Board Scholarship Fund.

Additional Celebrate Youth Month events include the Middle School Youth Advisory Board Reception on Wednesday, May 17, at 4 pm; the NYS Annual Meeting/Gail Smith Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 22, at 7 pm; and the Outstanding Youth Awards on Thursday, May 25, at 4 pm, all at Youth Services on Main St.
